4 GB RAM, 32 GB ROM, 16 MP rear camera, and 8 MP front camera – is this what we can expect at under INR 9,000?
The date is Sept 30 and Coolpad is all set to launch its new smartphone in India, today at an event in Delhi, as teased by the company. However, while the details of the smartphone have never been revealed by the company, there are a fair number of chances for the Note 5 to be launched.
The company has just been teasing the smartphone with words “Beast among the best”, and it is more likely that the smartphone to be an Amazon India exclusive device.
While this may not be as interesting as waiting for an iPhone launch or a Sony launch, for some budget on-goers, this might bring up some curiosity, as the smartphone was found listed on India’s import-export site Zauba at a price tag of INR 8,832.
Also, the Zauba listing mentions two color variants being imported into the country – Space Grey and Royal Gold. While the listing shows that 10 units of Space Grey models have been imported, the company seems to have imported 140 units of Royal Gold handsets. This might probably give us a little bit of extra information like Space Grey model may be launched in India in limited numbers. However, only time can tell!
So, what about the specifications? Well, as per the speculations making rounds, the Coolpad Note 5 may come with a 5.5 inch full HD display screen while being powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor coupled with a 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
The smartphone is also expected to sport a 16 MP rear camera with LED flash and 8 MP front camera, along with a fingerprint sensor on its back. And, with the 4G VoLTE support trending in the country as of now, the smartphone may come with that too, so as to stay current in the competition.
Seeing all these specifications and price tag, the smartphone under INR 9,000 price range seems to be quite a good offering for the budget lovers. However, we will have to wait until the company actually announces if the smartphone is Coolpad Note 5, and if so, we will have to wait for an official price tag.
